The Full Story

Writing has been my greatest passion since I was a child. I spent countless hours during my childhood and teenage years crafting hundreds of pages of stories. Once I was accepted into Virginia Tech, I decided I wanted to build a career around my favorite hobby.

When I studied public relations in college, I learned about every facet of communication, from research to social media analytics to press release writing and pitching. I even dabbled in creative writing, business leadership, and campaign development. Being able to spend every day studying what I love is considered to be one of my life's greatest blessings.

As the daughter of entrepreneurs, I spent all four years of college interning for small businesses. My passion for writing expanded into helping people with a dream reach their goals, just like my parents had done. I had the opportunity to manage editorial calendars, develop website content, manage social media strategies, and more. I felt ridiculously lucky to roll up my sleeves and support local businesses in my community. To this day, I have a deep appreciation for small businesses and understand the unique challenges business owners face on a day to day basis.

Now as I venture through the first few years of my communications career post-grad, I'm seeking opportunities to help small business owners take their websites, social media, and communication strategies to the next level.
